Fatafatloan Services India Private Limited (“Fatafat Loans”, “we”, “our”, “us”) respects your right to control your personal information. This page explains how you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data, even if you never created a full customer login, and the conditions under which we may retain certain information.
1. How to Request Deletion
You can request deletion at any time—whether you created a loan account or only shared data for a credit check.
Steps
- Email: Send a request from your registered email ID to help@fatafatloans.com
- Subject line: Account/Data Deletion Request
- Provide the following for verification:
- Full Name
- Registered Mobile Number
- Last 4 digits of Loan / Customer ID (if any)
- Last 4 digits of a Government ID used for KYC
- We will acknowledge your request within 7 days and complete eligible deletion within 30 days, except for data we are legally required to retain.
- If you do not have an account but believe Fatafat Loans has processed your information (for example, during a credit eligibility check), include the phone number or email used so that we can locate your records.
2. What Will Be Deleted
- Profile details, contact information, and login credentials
- Financial and credit data held by Fatafat Loans that are not subject to legal retention
- Device and technical data collected through our mobile app
- Deletion covers active systems and backups. Backup copies are purged automatically within 90 days of primary deletion.
3. Data We May Need to Retain
We may retain specific information only as long as required by law or regulation, including but not limited to:
- Loan and repayment records, KYC documents, tax invoices, and credit-bureau submissions – up to 10 years as mandated by the Reserve Bank of India, Income-Tax Act, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
- Information needed for fraud detection, dispute resolution, or legal claims.
- Such retained data will be used solely for these purposes and then securely deleted.
4. Outstanding Obligations
If you have an active loan or unpaid dues, deletion will be paused until all obligations are settled. You may still submit the request; we will notify you of any pending requirements.
5. Confirmation
Once your request is fulfilled, you will receive a final confirmation email stating that your account and associated personal data (except legally retained records) have been deleted.
